Dentures

Complete dentures are designed to replace all teeth in a person’s upper and lower jaws, unless specified otherwise as either upper or lower dentures. Usually made from acrylic material, these dentures fit snugly against the gum line to ensure stability. Although they provide a secure fit, they may not be as stable as other dental options, which is why dental implants are often used to improve their stability and functionality.

In contrast, partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. These dentures can be supported by the gums, the remaining teeth, or a combination of both. For optimal stability, it is generally preferable to rely on the remaining natural teeth to support the partial denture. Partial dentures supported only by the gums are typically made from acrylic, while those supported by teeth often feature a metal framework to enhance strength and durability.

Crowns

Crowns act as a restorative option for teeth that are severely damaged, discoloured, misshapen, or misaligned. Covering the entire surface of the tooth, they effectively restore its original shape and colour. Each crown is custom-made in our laboratory to ensure a precise fit and is permanently bonded to the tooth using dental cement. They can be made from various materials, including gold, a blend of gold and porcelain (with the gold hidden), or entirely from porcelain or ceramic.
