BDA Good Practice Scheme

Our practice is a member of the BDA (British Dental Association) Good Practice Scheme. To gain membership, we had to complete a practice self assessment covering various legal and ethical requirements and submit evidence of this to the BDA. As members, we are committed to working to high quality standards set by the BDA and we are fully compliant with quality assurance and clinical governance.

We are registered and fully compliant with CQC regulations.

All our professionals are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and abide by the nine principles set out by the GDC, these are:

  • Putting patients’ interests first
  • Communicating effectively with patients
  • Obtaining valid consent
  • Maintaining and protecting patients’ information
  • A clear and effective complaints procedure
  • Working with colleagues in a way that is in patients’ best interests
  • Maintaining, developing and working within professional knowledge and skills
  • Raising concerns if patients are at risk
  • Ensuring personal behaviour maintains patients’ confidence in the practice and the dental profession
